​Personal Track Safety Initial (AC+DCCR)

Overview
This PTS course has two components. You need to complete an eLearning training package followed by two practical training days. Â
This practical training module is to train people who are responsible for undertaking Personal Track Safety Training as part of their duties on Network Rail’s Infrastructure.
This course will develop a person’s knowledge, understanding and skills.
Pre-Requisite Requirements:
- Must be a minimum age of 16
- Have a good level of literacy to meet entry requirements.
- Pre-Employment NWR Medical and Drug & Alcohol test – you can contact us for an appointment prior to your course.
- You must have successfully completed the PTS eLearning training and assessment prior to attending this course – completion must be a minimum of 24 hours before the start of your course.
- You must bring your pass certificate with you on the day(s) of training.
Course Content:
The PTS Course consists of theory and practical elements including:
- Working on or near the line
- Railway terminology
- Signalling systems
- Electrification AC/DCCR
- Emergency procedures
- Track visit to a Live Railway Line
Employer/Sponsor
Prior to attending the PTS Course, you will need to obtain a Sponsor, who will create a Sentinel profile for you which enables you to complete the eLearning Module.Â
